SANTO DOMINGO - Casas del XVI, located in the Colonial City, was nominated for the World Travel Awards 2025 in the categories of “Dominican Republic's Leading Boutique Hotel” and “Dominican Republic's Leading Hotel Suite – Royal Suite”.
The “Dominican Republic’s Leading Boutique Hotel” nomination recognizes the most outstanding boutique hotel in the Dominican Republic, evaluating aspects such as unique design, personalized attention, exclusivity, and the authentic experience it offers its guests.
The “Dominican Republic’s Leading Hotel Suite – Royal Suite” award recognizes the country’s most outstanding hotel suite, considering criteria such as design, amenities, and the level of personalized service provided to visitors.
The Royal Suite represents an ideal combination of contemporary luxury and historical heritage, making it one of the hotel's most distinctive spaces.
The World Travel Awards, created in 1993, are considered the "Oscars of Tourism" and are a benchmark of excellence, whose prestige is based on a rigorous evaluation process and popular vote, which year after year rewards the most outstanding entities in the sector globally.
“The nomination is a reflection of our commitment to exclusive service and excellence in hospitality,” said Ignacio Peñalver, general manager of Casas del XVI.
He noted that the hotel, located in the heart of Santo Domingo's Colonial City, is distinguished by its elegant fusion of colonial heritage with modern amenities. Operating in meticulously restored historic houses, Casas del XVI offers a unique experience.
"Every detail has been carefully designed to provide an unparalleled stay. Its architecture tells stories of the past, while the personalized service has positioned the hotel as a benchmark for luxury tourism in the region," he said.
The hotel is characterized by offering an environment that combines history and modernity. “Every space and every detail has been designed to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience, full of culture and exclusivity,” the executive added.
The nomination for these awards recognizes the effort of the Casas del XVI team and highlights the tourism potential of the Dominican Republic globally, reaffirming its position as a differentiated destination in the Caribbean.
The 32nd edition of the World Travel Awards will be held in December of this year in Bahrain. Voting is open to the public, so Casas del XVI invites all followers and lovers of innovation in tourism to support them and be part of this award.
