The completion of the final phase of the Ecological Avenue aims to reduce heavy cargo traffic through the National District and improve connectivity in Greater Santo Domingo
President Luis Abinader announced that the third phase of the Ecological Avenue will be inaugurated on November 15th, connecting with Las Américas Avenue and the Caucedo Multimodal Port, strengthening mobility in the municipality of Santo Domingo East.
“This is part of the comprehensive traffic improvement we are carrying out for the well-being of Greater Santo Domingo,” the president said.
Considered a key piece within the Santo Domingo Ring Road system, this road will allow a more efficient connection between the ports of Haina and Caucedo, as well as between the Las Américas and Joaquín Balaguer airports, becoming an alternative route for cargo transport.
With a length of 1.5 kilometers, the project will benefit thousands of residents of Santo Domingo Este and contribute to the development of the Santo Domingo province and strengthens the road network being implemented by the Government in the country.
President Abinader highlighted that the delivery of this road is part of the actions his administration is taking to decongest traffic at the main entrances to Greater Santo Domingo, especially in the South, North and East regions of the country.
