SANTIAGO. -The airline Arajet and the Cibao International Airport announced this Monday the start of a direct flight between Santiago de los Caballeros, in the Dominican Republic, and Medellín, Colombia, on July 17 of this year, with two frequencies per week.
Tourism Minister David Collado was present at the meeting held at the airport terminal, where Victor Pacheco Mendez, president of Arajet, announced that the route will operate on Mondays and Thursdays.
He emphasized that the operation will strengthen ties between both cities and enhance tourism, economic and commercial exchange.

Minister David Collado said he was sure that in the future new routes would be added that would make Santiago de los Caballeros and the Cibao region a tourist destination of excellence.
Manuel Estrella, speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors of Cibao International Airport, highlighted that the terminal is at a landmark moment with the opening of the new route that will connect Santiago de los Caballeros with the South American country.
