SANTO DOMINGO . The remains of architect Leslie Rosado, who was killed by Corporal Jandi Disla Batista on Saturday night while returning from her father's birthday celebration in Boca Chica, were buried this afternoon at the Jardín Memorial cemetery.
Expressions of grief and outrage from family and friends of the 35-year-old woman characterized the funeral ceremony, leaving behind three orphaned children, the eldest a 15-year-old teenager, who was with her at the time of the unfortunate event and who had emotional words at the funeral rites.
“I wrote something as if it were for her because I truly feel that she is still here. I don’t accept it, I don’t even like it when they talk about her in the past because I feel that she is still here,” her daughter expressed
“The body I’ve held and kissed all my life, lying with my eyes closed, has broken my heart. I don’t want a day to come when I don’t suffer because I want to cry for you forever, so you know how much you mean to me and how much I love you.”
"You've left me like a little bird that was released without direction, you've left me not knowing what life is like," the teenager said.
She lamented that her mother wouldn't be there for her younger siblings. " But believe me, I will . I will let you live through me, because I will try to be a mother to them, I will try to be as much like you as possible," she promised in front of her mother's coffin.

President Luis Abinader described the murder of architect Leslie Rosado , assuring that the case would not go unpunished and that justice would be served. He made these remarks while visiting the Blandino Funeral Home to offer his condolences to the family.
In his government, he declared, such acts will not be tolerated and those responsible will be condemned, after assuring that work is underway to reform the National Police .
