SANTO DOMINGO - In the interest of promoting and developing the competitive capacity of national and foreign investment, the Dominican Electricity Transmission Company (ETED) and the Export and Investment Center of the Dominican Republic (ProDominicana) will work on the digital implementation of the Dominican Republic's Single Window for Investment (Vuird).
Through this agreement, both institutions seek to transform the one-stop shop into an agile and reliable tool for the benefit of investors, by guaranteeing the fluidity, security, transparency, and efficiency of all its processes.
For its part, ETED commits to working with ProDominicana and the other institutions that make up the Single Window for Investment of the Dominican Republic (VUIRD), in the reception and management of applications received through the enabled tool, as well as in the delivery of documents that are the result of these.

The agreement will also streamline and facilitate procedures and actions to be carried out by the aforementioned transmission company to issue the authorizations, licenses, permits or certifications necessary for the investor to properly carry out its installation or expansion process in the country.
The Single Investment Window Coordination Commission will carry out all necessary actions for the correct implementation of the project in its virtual format.
It is emphasized that integration, inter-institutional cooperation, and quality in the provision of public service are the most effective means for the Dominican Republic to achieve its national vision.
Regarding this, Robles Morillo stated that “this agreement will bring substantial benefits to the country's development, based on an agile and efficient mechanism, with transparency as a key principle to ensure that investments are not affected.”.
Meanwhile, Riveiro Disla indicated that "the main objective is to offer investors a centralized point of service and procedures necessary to carry out any type of investment in the country, grouping government services from multiple institutions, including certifications, permits and licenses, making the steps to follow more transparent and clear.".
