SANTO DOMINGO – Eduardo Domínguez Peguero can't imagine himself working anywhere else. His passion and love for what he does leads him directly to one place: being a real estate agent.
This profession captivated him from the moment he began his journey in the market. It's a career that aligns with his interests and skills. For this reason, he can't imagine himself on any other path.
Eduardo, who has a law degree, stated that what he likes most about this work is the vocation of service and helping people achieve their desired goal.
“Accompanying people in the realization of their dreams is what truly fulfills me, whether it's helping a family find their ideal home or an investor make the best decision,” he said in an interview with El Inmobiliario.
Domínguez wasn't always in this field. In his early career, he worked as head of the negotiation department at a law firm.

This experience provided him with a range of knowledge that he later applied to the real estate sector, achieving favorable agreements and managing legal aspects such as property clearance and document verification.
An enriching process
With around seven years of experience as an agent, he describes his career as an enriching process, highlighting the learning of teamwork.
“I have learned a lot from others, which has allowed me to continue growing and improving,” he said.
What he experiences from his position is unique, as he maintains that each transaction with a client becomes an unparalleled experience, allowing him to develop new skills and adapt to different situations.
Having managed the sale of around 50 properties and participated in 105 closings, their commitment extends from the initial advice to the final phase, which concludes with the delivery of the keys to the properties.
“My greatest satisfaction comes from ensuring that the property is exactly what the client is looking for, whether it’s for family living or as an investment. It fills me with joy to know that, in the case of an investment, the property offers them profitability and results that meet their expectations,” he said.
Eduardo, who has been with the Mr. Home real estate agency for approximately two years, says that his routine starts at seven in the morning, and although he doesn't know for sure how many hours he dedicates to his work each day, he acknowledges that he is present whenever a client needs him.
One of her clear goals for the future is to fully develop her leadership skills, while encouraging others to grow in this area ethically and professionally.
According to the advisor, a real estate agent not only optimizes their clients' time but also provides specialized advice for making specific decisions, thus maximizing their investments and assets. And therein lies their role within society.
Concerns
When addressing his concerns about the sector, he noted that one of his biggest worries is the lack of organization and regulation in the real estate sector.
He stated that it would be ideal to have a certification or accreditation process that allows agents to be properly authorized and trained for the marketing of properties.
“This would guarantee a more transparent and higher quality service for customers, as well as raise the standard of the sector,” he pointed out.
On the other hand, he highlighted the importance of clearly defining urban zones, which would allow for a more orderly development of cities, guaranteeing privacy in residential areas and an adequate separation from commercial areas.
