Grupo Poma and its hotel division Real Hotels & Resorts are preparing for the opening of their next Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini hotel, scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
The hotel complex rises to 17 floors, with 160 rooms and will feature the contemporary Kitchen & Bar restaurant, the Rooftop Bar, an infinity pool, conference rooms, event and meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, among other amenities and services, according to a statement from Grupo Poma.
When the executives announced the construction project in 2021, with the presence of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, they reported that the investment would exceed 14 million dollars, and that its operation would generate around 420 direct jobs, 725 indirect jobs and 150 permanent jobs.
Characteristics
Among the amenities at the Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini are 176 square meters of conference, event, or meeting rooms with a capacity for 150 people, natural light, and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. It will also have six underground parking levels.
Featuring a contemporary style, it will include soundproof windows, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, and luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding, designed to ensure maximum comfort during business or leisure stays.
The Courtyard by Marriott Santo Domingo Piantini Hotel is the 22nd hotel property operated by Real Hotels & Resorts and its third in Santo Domingo. It belongs to the hotel division of the Poma Group, a Salvadoran company with half a century of experience in the hotel industry.
It operates and franchises more than 27 hotels in 10 countries: United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Ecuador.
