SANTO DOMINGO. -The president of the Dominican College of Engineers, Architects and Surveyors, CODIA, Carlos Eligió Mendoza, gave toys to the children of the members on the occasion of Three Kings Day last Monday.
The head of the union explained that the activity is part of the entity's tradition of giving a toy to the "codianitos" as they call the children of the members.
The children received bicycles, skateboards, dolls, guitars, toy cars, toy trucks, among other things.
The distribution included more than 100 children of different ages, who were accompanied by their parents.
In addition to receiving toys, the children enjoyed sweets, popcorn, hot dogs and other treats, and had a fun afternoon with clowns and Santa Claus.
The CODIA national board of directors is composed, in addition to its president, of architect George Richardson, Secretary General; geometric engineer Enrique Rosario, Treasurer; civil engineer Alejandro García, Recording Secretary; agricultural engineer Yrene López San Pablo, Secretary of Education and Events; surveyor Yvelisse Almánzar, Secretary of Public Relations; and chemical engineer Marcy German, Secretary of Inter-union Affairs.
