SANTO DOMINGO.- Last night, Cap Cana Destination City held a business round and presentation of the destination dedicated to investors and construction entrepreneurs from the Dominican Republic, with a view to the development of various tourism, real estate and hotel projects.
Jorge Subero Medina, CEO of Cap Cana, explained the scale of the Destination City as well as the unstoppable development it has had during its 20 years of existence.
He highlighted that the country is in the best moment to make new investments in this sector thanks to the growth that real estate tourism has had in the country in general and in the destination itself, which attracts with it the diversification of complementary offers of second and third line of beach.

“The high demand from people who today demand a different, exclusive lifestyle, in spaces where luxury, security and physical and emotional well-being converge, places us in a privileged position within the sector because this is precisely what we offer as a destination,” added Subero Medina.
“Cap Cana is luxury and exclusivity, and this is reflected through the highest quality standards in each of its areas of diversification and development, such as: world-class infrastructure, the most beautiful beaches on the country's East Coast, basic services, the majestic Punta Espada golf course, the safest inland marina in the Caribbean, and the most complete equestrian center in the region, as well as the most important ecological adventure park, Scape Park, among other amenities.”.
He explained that Cap Cana is called a Destination City firstly because of its territorial size, and secondly because it is conceptualized on a master plan that contemplates and currently has all these standards mentioned, as well as social activities, commercial activities and services necessary so that anyone who invests in it does not need to go outside.
He also said that road safety education programs and staff retraining and adaptation programs are currently being implemented for existing inclusive areas that facilitate movement for people with various disabilities, as part of the sustainability of the Destination City.
Cap Cana currently has 7,400 rooms in operation, including hotels and residences, with approximately 1,300 more under construction. These figures alone surpass those of more than 18 destinations throughout the Caribbean. The development of its first phase of the master plan is now equivalent to the distance from Independence Park to Gregorio Luperón Avenue, and from George Washington Avenue to John F. Kennedy Avenue, both lengthwise and depthwise.
It boasts major international hotel chains such as Secrets, Hyatt Ziva & Hyatt Zilara, Eden Roc the country's only Relaix & Chateaux hotel, Margaritaville operated by Karisma, Marriott International with The Luxury Collection at Sanctuary Cap Cana, Sports Illustrated Resorts Marina & Villas, TRS from the Palladium Group, and the St. Regis hotel currently under construction.
