MATANZAS, BANÍ – Caney Beach Home, recently inaugurated, is the first tourism project funded by Baní and will consist of a complex of villas and lots. Its initial investment was $1.5 million, with a projected budget of $5.5 million.
The president of the Executive Council, Juan Tejeda, explained that Caney Beach Home is a growing and developing project for the area, where they will build 150 beach villas and a boutique hotel with 40 rooms defined with a unique country design, "indigenous style".
He stated that 97% of the lots are already sold, and they expect that within a month the buyers will be able to begin construction of the villas.

Giving details about the beach club, he said that it consists of a swimming pool for adults and children, a children's play area, a restaurant, a bar, among other facilities.
He also highlighted that this project directly employs about 100 people and indirectly about 500, and will create 1,500 jobs in the future when the project is completed.
"These 1,500 jobs will create an economic impact for this area, and we don't look for skilled people from other places, but rather we look for people from this community of Matanza and Baní and we invest time and money in their training.".

The businessman explained that Caney will offer one of the most important tourist attractions in the southern region, along with other complexes and hotels, such as Punta Arena, Las Calderas, Punta Salinas, Campomar, Ocoa Bay, among others.
For his part, Gustavo Terrero, Vice President of the Caney Executive Council, highlighted the importance of the area's gastronomy, among other aspects related to services. "The club will meet international quality standards with the attention of a staff trained in hospitality and tourism.".
He added that Caney will develop a corporate and business social responsibility policy, together with small, medium and large business owners, as well as with farmers from Baní and the entire southern region, to offer high-quality, native and typical services and products, which also represent the history, traditions and brands of excellence for the international projection of the country's image, of this province.
