One person was injured; the cause of the fire is unknown

SANTO DOMINGO. – A fire consumed one of the apartments in the Piantini II Residential complex this Monday, which was evacuated, as were some business towers in the area.
The Piantini II Residential complex is located on Abraham Lincoln Avenue and consists of dozens of four-level apartments.
One person was affected in their respiratory tract and was rescued and treated at the same location by paramedics from the National Emergency System 9-1-1.

The National District Fire Department quickly arrived at the scene of the incident and prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent apartments.
The JMMB business tower evacuated its staff due to the incident.
Major Richard de Jesús explained that the flames completely destroyed one room.
