SANTO DOMINGO. - The president of Pragma Capital, Julio Cabrera Pérez, highlighted the importance of educating real estate stakeholders to raise awareness among clients that every engineering process requires time and defined stages to guarantee quality standards in each construction project.
“The human perception is that I buy something and I want it tomorrow. But people forget that the engineering process involves a process, it takes time,” he explained.
In an interview with El Inmobiliario, prior to the conference "Communication and Persuasion for Sales," offered by the prominent communicator Francisco Montalvo, as part of the "Pragma Educa" program, dedicated to real estate agents, the civil engineer revealed that launching multiple projects simultaneously often generates a high level of stress in engineering teams.
In that regard, he pointed out that the sales process tends to advance at a faster pace than that of this area, which must follow its natural course to guarantee the quality of real estate development.
“It is very important to talk about this because the industry, nowadays, is going through a very fragile moment in the construction process,” he said.

Cabrera pointed out that the tragedy that occurred in the Jet Set has served to create greater awareness within the sector to raise quality standards.
“I do believe that an opportunity has arisen, as a result of what has happened, for us as an industry to become more aware of the need to raise our standards,” he emphasized.
From that perspective, the president of Pragma Capital mentioned how the tragedy has mobilized these awareness actions, such as those carried out by the Ministry of Housing and Buildings (MIVED).
“I think I can say with certainty that my colleagues in the industry have sought to improve. For example, just yesterday (Wednesday), MIVED released a very extensive report on the current state of housing in terms of needs, quality, and that type of information,” the specialist concluded.
