MIAMI, FLORIDA - As part of its commitment to promote the development and evolution of the tourism industry, Banco BHD sponsored the luxury tourism gala dinner, organized by the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic in Miami, Florida.
The event was an intimate and exclusive gathering where BHD executives and clients had a unique opportunity to network and learn about the national luxury tourism strategy, with the special participation of personalities and relevant actors in the sector throughout the region.
The delegation from the banking institution was led by Steven Puig, president of BHD, and Carlos Guillermo León, president of the Securities Market and Trust Division of the BHD Financial Center; also participating were Ariel Pérez, vice president of Tourism and Related Services of Banco BHD; Gabriel Tineo, general manager of BHD Fondos and Pedro Valenzuela, administrator manager of BHD Fondos.

The president of BHD delivered the welcoming remarks on behalf of the private sector to the 150 international tourism leaders attending the event. “We believe that supporting the tourism sector is a way to boost the development and economic growth of our country and our people. That is why we are pleased to be driving the promotion and development of the tourism industry in the Dominican Republic and to support the Ministry of Tourism with this international gathering,” Puig stated.
The event, held at the Vizcaya Museum, featured welcoming remarks from the Dominican Republic's Minister of Tourism, David Collado, and special presentations by Andy Stalman, an international branding expert who spoke about new destination brands in the Dominican Republic, and Alejandro Reynal, global CEO of Four Seasons.
The closing of the event featured an artistic performance by maestro Juan Luis Guerra, who delighted the guests with his musical repertoire.
