Banreservas opens its third branch abroad

In Miami, customers will be able to process the opening of savings accounts, mortgage loans, among other services.

The third Banco de Reservas office abroad was inaugurated this Monday in Miami, Florida, joining those in Madrid and New York, which the financial institution sets up to provide services to Dominicans residing abroad.

The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, led the opening ceremony, stating that for the current administration, "it is of great value that an institution of proven strength like the Banco de Reservas  guides Dominican and foreign investors attracted by the favorable business climate offered by the country."

For his part, the bank's general manager, Samuel Pereyra, explained that with this new opening, Banreservas' internationalization "is a fact that is consolidating and advancing," having offices in Madrid, New York and now in Miami.

He emphasized that these three cities "are key from a financial point of view, where a lot of capital, investments, and companies of global reach converge and move. There, at the center of that world of opportunities, we have placed the Dominican Republic.".

He said that the intention behind internationalizing the bank has been to build bridges in favor of the country's development, as well as to reach out to the hundreds of thousands of Dominicans living abroad, to let them know that they too can count on the financial institution, no matter where they are.

He explained that for this reason Miami and New York were chosen as the locations for Banreservas' representative offices, because the majority of Dominicans in the United States reside in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Florida.

The new office is located near the Dominican Consulate, at 1101 Brickell Avenue Suite N-1402 Miami, Florida 33131.

Mortgage loans

The general manager of Banreservas explained that at the facilities opened in Miami, customers will be able to process the opening of savings accounts, mortgage loans, obtain advice on sending remittances for entry into the online banking system, update their banking data and certify their accounts.

"We are convinced that this new office, as well as those in New York and Madrid, will quickly become very valuable assets for promoting Dominican values and positioning our country in the most important places in the world," the banking executive stated.

He added that "our intention is not only to continue growing as a financial institution, but to generate and take advantage of ways that produce well-being for all our clients and the entire Dominican people.".

Pereyra expressed his gratitude for the support received from President Luis Abinader, the Board of Directors, the executives and employees, as well as the entire Dominican people and the clients, who by placing their trust in this institution, "have made this bank the largest in the Caribbean and one of the most profitable in the world.".

The opening ceremony was attended by Noelia García de Pereyra, president of the Banreservas Volunteer Program; Geanilda Vásquez, consul general in Miami; Francisco Holis Matos, consul general in Orlando; Jaime Lacadena, consul general of Spain in Miami; and the Banreservas sub-administrators José Manuel Almonte, from the Administrative area; and Francisco Elías, from Subsidiary Companies.
