In another feat of modern architecture and engineering, the world's tallest hotel, standing at 365 meters, is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025. It will be located in Dubai Marina, in the United Arab Emirates, near Palm Jumeirah, the famous island shaped like a date palm that houses world-class hotels, apartment towers, and luxurious international restaurants.
This is the Ciel Tower , which will surpass the Gevora Hotel, at 356 meters tall. Third on the list is the JW Marriott Marquis, at 355 meters, also in Dubai.

The hotel is topped off with an infinity pool and restaurant.
The Ciel Tower is being developed by The First Group in the marina of this innovative city located in Asia. It will feature 1,042 rooms and suites, including 150 suites, spread across 82 floors.
First Group 's main partner is China Railway Construction Corporation, the world's second-largest construction and engineering company by revenue. The project progressed considerably during the height of the Covid-19 disruptions, reaching key milestones.
The title of world's tallest hotel is generally applied only to buildings used exclusively as hotels. However, the "tallest hotel inside a building" is currently the Rosewood Guangzhou, which occupies the top 39 floors of the CTF Finance Center in China, reaching 530 meters at its summit.

“We will apply for official certification of the Ciel Tower as the tallest hotel in the world before its opening date,” said the developer, which is taking the final steps to inaugurate it next year.
Sustainable
Furthermore, it is energy efficient, using 25% less energy for cooling compared to similar buildings, according to its developers.
In fact, the developer commented that: “This building is not just about architecture. It’s about architecture and engineering merging.”.
A futuristic design was created by Dubai-based NORR Group for the Ciel Tower, inspired by vertical living. According to the architecture firm's website, the tower's shape and overall mass offer views in all directions.
It is a building abstractly sculpted in metal and glass, whose curved shapes are reflected in the setting sun, according to official sources.
The tower's interior is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which values the imperfect and transient beauty of nature. Ciel features a striking and contemporary design, highlighting a glazed observation deck that maximizes views of Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa to the east, the marina to the southwest, Palm Jumeirah, and the Arabian Gulf.
The building will also include a luxury hotel with a rooftop terrace featuring a bar, swimming pool, and restaurant. The rooftop observation deck will make the tower a major attraction for both residents and international tourists.
The project has received several prestigious awards at the 2019 International Property Awards, including Best International Hotel Architecture and Best High-Rise Residential Architecture in Saudi Arabia. Furthermore, at the 2019-2020 Africa & Arabia Property Awards, it won in the categories of Hotel Architecture, New Hotel Construction and Design, High-Rise Commercial Development, and High-Rise Residential Architecture.
Dubai's hotel sector has seen an increase in occupancy rate to 75%, driven by luxury resorts and beachfront destinations.
Exclusiveness
A standout feature of Ciel will be its 300-meter-high interior atrium, with vertically stacked terraces that are naturally ventilated.

The rooms start from 30 m2.
Rob Burns of The First Group said: “We are thrilled to bring Ciel to the Dubai skyline, an innovative project that will redefine luxury hospitality and showcase the very best of the city. The pandemic delayed construction, but we are confident we will open it in 2025.”
Investors will be able to purchase hotel rooms and homes that the tower also has available, starting from USD 450,000 and up.
Buyers will see a guaranteed capital gain. Furthermore, high and stable rental income can be expected, as properties in the Emirates are in high demand by tourists and expatriates. The average return on investment for elite studios in Dubai Marina is 6.76% annually.
This project requires an investment of over USD 700 million and will be built on a triangular plot of land in the city's marina. It will include a helipad.

With 360-degree views of the city, the units start at 30 square meters. The minimalist interiors of these elite residences are characterized by details such as a light color palette, composed mainly of gray and beige tones, the absence of unnecessary elements, and simple forms.
Each room features a multi-level lighting system comprised of ceiling lights, chandeliers, and table lamps, allowing future residents to create the atmosphere they desire.
