PUNTA CANA, LA ALTAGRACIA PROVINCE. – Arajet, the Caribbean's low-cost airline, and the Puntacana Group announced the signing of an agreement for the airline's flights to begin operating at Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) starting November 1st, expanding its network of destinations and connections on the continent.
This was announced by Frank Elías Rainieri, CEO of Grupo Puntacana, and Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, who indicated that this alliance will have an extraordinary impact on the number of passengers that Arajet transports, strengthening the arrival of visitors to the eastern region of the Dominican Republic.
Pacheco explained that Punta Cana Airport will become Arajet's second base, offering this tourist area the opportunity to connect with the robust network of destinations and the more than 200 connection combinations offered by Arajet, which will continue to have its central base at Las Américas International Airport in Santo Domingo.
“We are committed to making Arajet the airline for all Dominicans, and that is why we have always wanted to fly to all airports in the country to allow them the opportunity to travel to other destinations with the lowest prices on the market,” said Pacheco.

As explained, Arajet flights to Punta Cana Airport will begin on November 1st, and destinations will be announced later. This airport becomes Arajet's third destination in the Dominican Republic, as in addition to Las Américas International Airport (AILA), the airline also maintains regular flights to Cibao International Airport and is exploring the possibility of adding flights from Puerto Plata International Airport.
