Arajet is looking for Dominican talent to continue increasing its flight

The low-cost airline aims to build a route network of 22 destinations in 12 countries in the coming months, flying the Dominican flag and providing customer-oriented service across the continent.

SANTO DOMINGO.- Today, September 22, in the Churchill Room of the Intercontinental Hotel, Santo Domingo, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Arajet, the newly launched low-cost airline registered in the Dominican Republic, will begin its recruitment process to hire Dominican pilots.

The airline explained that those interested must meet the requirements established by the aeronautical authorities and "represent the warmth and hospitality that distinguish Dominicans" in order to expand its transportation services.

Arajet maintains that it will be increasing its connectivity, including more destinations, to continue connecting Santo Domingo with the main cities of America, which is why it seeks to recruit Dominican pilots.

The new Dominican aviation initiative states in a press release that the requirements for hiring are: Dominican nationality, a minimum of 1,000 flight hours, jet experience (not mandatory), ICAO CPL/FAA/EASA certification, a current Class One medical certificate, and ICAO level 4 English proficiency.

The low-cost airline seeks to build a route network of 22 destinations in 12 countries in the coming months, carrying the Dominican flag and providing customer-oriented service throughout the continent.

Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO of Arajet, stated that “the airline firmly believes in local talent and hopes to write, together with Dominican pilots, the story of the rebirth of aviation in the Dominican Republic.”.

He indicated that, in the next five years, Arajet expects to transport more than 7 million passengers, generating more than 4,000 direct jobs and nearly 40,000 indirect jobs in the region.
