SANTO DOMINGO. -The La Vega Real Savings and Loan Association (Alaver) achieved outstanding results in terms of cybersecurity, according to the recent report "Digitalization Ranking of the Banking Sector 2024" by the Superintendency of Banks (SB).
The mutual entity was awarded the "Authentication in digital channels" badge - which is presented in the form of a padlock next to the URL - and is given to entities that have implemented additional controls in the authentication of their users, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining secure and risk-free identity management above the standards.
In the personal banking segment, Alaver was the only entity within the "Savings and Loan Associations" subsector to obtain this distinction; likewise, it was also recognized in the Business segment, reaching fourth position and obtaining the Silver category in both segments.

According to the SB, these digitization reports aim to promote the implementation of new technologies, as well as user awareness of the various alternative channels available from financial institutions, to promote financial inclusion in all segments of the population, a mission in line with the Financial Inclusion Strategy of the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD).
Alaver is one of the entities that stays at the forefront in terms of digital channels, allowing its users and clients to carry out a large number of financial transactions, including: checking their balances and transactions made from both savings accounts and credit cards, generating account statements, making transfers between their own accounts and third parties, making and checking secure and instant interbank payments, making payments to couriers and recharging mobile minutes, among others.
