SANTO DOMINGO - Airbnb presented its first Global Quality Report, an analysis of user satisfaction, which revealed that there was a growth of more than 20% in the Superhost community in the Dominican Republic during 2024, compared to the previous year.
The program, celebrating its tenth anniversary, continues to recognize and reward top-performing hosts on the platform. Last year, the global Superhost community grew by nearly 15% to over 1.3 million hosts, the highest number ever, according to a press release.
The document sent to El Inmobiliario indicates that in the Dominican Republic, the average rating is 4.91. In addition, 83% of hosts have a 5-star rating.
This figure demonstrates that Airbnb continues to be a reliable platform committed to ensuring that every host has the necessary tools to offer the best possible stay and that every guest enjoys a positive and unforgettable experience, the report states.
"This growth is not only reflected in numbers, but in real stories like that of Marta Rut, who began her journey as a host in 2016 on the recommendation of a client and who today, thanks to her experience, supports other people in her community through Airbnb hosting.
“My income has tripled since my last job. I started with just one apartment, and little by little, more properties came in; each listing has its own story. Even the person who used to help me at home now has her own cleaning business and services all my properties in Santiago. Airbnb has allowed me to grow and share that opportunity with others. I love being a host, and I'm very happy to be part of this platform,” says Marta Rut, a Superhost in the Dominican Republic.
To make it easier for guests to find the best places to stay, the platform has launched several features.
