SANTO DOMINGO.- The Association of Real Estate Agencies and Companies (AEI) mourned the passing of José R. Hernández, CEO of La Comarca real estate, and Ingrid Fernández, a member of his team, who were active members of the national real estate sector.
In a statement, the association highlights that Hernández was a member of AEI for over a decade, serving on the AEI Northern Zone delegation. "His career was distinguished by his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to the development of the sector," the document states.
“It is with deep sorrow that we inform the real estate community of the untimely passing of our member, friend and colleague José R. Hernández,” the association stated, also describing him as an “extraordinary collaborator, with passion and love for our real estate profession.”.
AEI also mourned the passing of Ingrid Fernández, who worked alongside Hernández at Grupo La Comarca. Her dedication and commitment were equally valued by the real estate community.

The institution extended its condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of both professionals, accompanying them with a prayer for the eternal rest of their souls.
The organization reiterated its solidarity in this moment of mourning, recognizing the legacy of those who dedicated their lives to strengthening the Dominican real estate sector.
Hernández and Fernández died in a traffic accident while returning from Punta Cana to Santiago de los Caballeros, last Saturday, November 1st.
