SANTO DOMINGO. – On the evening of Wednesday, June 12, Acoprovi, the Association of Housing Builders and Developers, announced the details of its traditional Golf Tournament, which aims to strengthen relationships among the country's housing builders and foster collaboration and business ties among its members.
This is the most important sporting event in the construction sector of the Dominican Republic, which will be staged for the ninth year, consolidating itself as a space to generate synergies, business relationships and collaboration among the key players in the sector.
“As always, in this ninth edition, we will have the participation of presidents and directors of the leading construction companies and suppliers in the country. With their attendance, the tournament becomes a place where business opportunities are generated that can boost the growth of our industry,” said Annerys Melendez, president of Acoprovi, when announcing the sporting event.
For the launch of the event, the Board of Directors of Acoprovi held an opening cocktail party for members, sponsors and the local press at the Marmotech Rooftop Design Center, where details of everything the 2024 event will offer were presented.
Meléndez, along with Guido Rosario, First Vice President of the Association, presented the program for the meeting, which will take place at Punta Espada, Cap Cana, on Saturday, July 13 , starting at 9:00 AM. The opening ceremony will be held on Friday, July 12, at 7:00 PM at the same location.

“As leaders in the sector, we have a responsibility to drive the country’s growth and development, and events like this, such as our tournament in July, are fundamental to achieving this goal,” commented Annerys Meléndez
He said this new version promises to be one of the most memorable events of the year with special prizes, more than a dozen food stations, brand activations, and a special awards ceremony, among other amenities.
Guido Rosario explained that 112 players will be on the course and will be able to enjoy a generous kit of products. "We are confident that we will surpass last year's success, which featured more than 12 food and beverage stations, over 10 special prizes, and more than 60 sponsoring brands—all thanks to the companies, partners, and golfers who trust in us.".
He added that the grand prize for the builder will be a trip to Cancun, Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
To date, the Acoprovi golf tournament has hosted more than 940 players from across the country and has become a platform for promoting more than 300 brands nationwide, demonstrating the importance of networking within the construction sector as an effective means of establishing connections with other key sectors of the local economy.
