SANTIAGO - President Luis Abinader delivered a total of 154 apartments from the My Home Plan, developed by the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED) in the La Barranquita and Los Salados sectors of this municipality.
In the case of Barranquita, 46 apartments were delivered to complete a total of 136 for the benefit of some 500 families who from this date have their own roof, while in Los Salados, 108 apartments were delivered that total 428, granted to the same number of families in this community.
The deliveries were led by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Minister of Housing and Buildings, Carlos Bonilla.
Bonilla stated that only by integrating housing, recreation, and health can a complete development of Dominicans and each family be achieved.
“This commitment is part of the mandate of our President, Luis Abinader, and we will continue to fulfill his promise because we are absolutely convinced that it is possible to profoundly change Santiago,” the official stated.
The event was attended by the CEO of Fiduciaria Reservas, Andrés Vanderhorst, who reported that to date 211,151 low-cost housing solutions have been delivered through Trusts.
Of these, 117,260 new solutions, or 56% of all units, have been delivered in the last three years, "which demonstrates the commitment of the current administration of President Luis Abinader to bring decent housing solutions to the entire national territory," Vanderhorst declared.
