SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Republic Multiple Banking Association (ABA) announced the second edition of the ABA Golf Cup, a tournament that will be held on Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13 at the Punta Espada course, located in Cap Cana, La Altagracia province.
This year, the sporting event will double its capacity with the participation of more than 240 players from the Dominican Republic, Latin America and the United States, including top banking executives, business leaders and special guests from the financial sector.
“Following the success of the first edition, we have doubled the tournament's capacity and duration to give more participants the opportunity to experience this unique event,” the ABA stated. They added that the event aims to foster business relationships in a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere, combining a passion for golf with networking opportunities in one of the Caribbean's most spectacular destinations.
The format in which the golfers will play will be Scramble in pairs, in three categories, and will feature special prizes, as well as a series of amenities designed for the enjoyment of all attendees, with the support of Golf View in the organization.
The Banking Association also highlighted that this event promises to combine sport, style, and professional networking in an unparalleled setting, reaffirming Cap Cana as one of the epicenters of golf and networking in the region. Music, gastronomy, and a vibrant social atmosphere will be part of the program, which includes a welcome cocktail and a closing party, all within the spectacular golf course designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.
"For the second year in a row, the ABA Golf Cup is shaping up to be the most important and exclusive event for multiple banks and the national financial sector, expanding its horizons to other nations," the ABA said in its official statement.
