SANTO DOMINGO - The Dominican Republic's northwest region is keeping pace with the real estate boom, with the construction of a residential complex, whose phases will involve the construction of more than 300 apartments that can be acquired for residences or as an investment for short-term rental or as the owner decides.
The building will be constructed in Montecristi, the city of El Morro and one of the tourist destinations in the Northwest region. It will be divided into five phases, comprising 72 apartments of 81 square meters each, on a plot of land measuring 104,402.22 square meters.
Lag Grupo Constructor is the company that will be in charge of the work, and according to the project literature it has more than 25 years in the national market, building single-family homes and important projects for the public and private sector such as residential buildings, through which it claims to have added more than 300 housing units in its history.
Juan Pablo Monsanto, CEO of Murcia Group, the real estate agency in charge of selling the complex, highlighted the development that the town of Montecristi has had in recent years, citing the Montecristi Light, Form and Color Museum, the public-private alliance with Manzanillo Energy, and the construction of 420 megawatt power generation plants.
He added the natural gas treatment plant with an investment of more than $1.75 billion, the development of the Super 8 hotel, which has 54 rooms on four levels, a large parking lot, swimming pool, restaurant and gym, among other areas, and the construction of large real estate projects in the city center.

“The residential complex is an exceptionally well-planned project divided into individual phases, each consisting of 72 units. This strategic distribution allows for a greater level of security and privacy for residents, while also fostering the growth of the beautiful city of Montecristi,” he emphasized.
The apartments will feature 3 bedrooms, a balcony, a private parking space, in addition to traditional amenities.
Among the amenities its promoters include are a tennis and basketball court, shopping center, 24-hour security, electric gates, lobby, swimming pool, social areas, children's playground, BBQ, equipped private gym and security camera system.
