SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Republic has once again demonstrated its tourism potential with the arrival of 735,064 non-resident visitors in the recently concluded month of July, making it the period with the highest tourist arrivals in the history of the Dominican Republic, surpassing December 2021, according to the Minister of Tourism, David Collado.

“We did it again. We had an extraordinary month for tourist arrivals to the Dominican Republic,” said Collado, referring to the record number of visitors reached in July compared to the same month in previous years. “July 2022, along with December 2021, are the only months in history in which we surpassed 700,000 tourists in a single month.”.
The Minister of Tourism explained that, in addition to those 734,064 visitors by air, another 98,389 cruise ship passengers arrived in the country in July, and that cumulatively, the Dominican Republic has received more than 4.1 million tourists so far this year.
