SANTO DOMINGO.– President Luis Abinader said today that during his 2020-2024 term, housing programs have reached more than 303,000 Dominicans throughout the country, with a total investment exceeding 29 billion pesos.
During his accountability report to the National Congress, the president stated that in this four-year term more than 76,500 homes have been renovated and/or built, projecting the delivery of more than 10,000 new homes and 20,000 improvements for 2024.
Referring to the 3 programs launched for the housing sector, he said that through Dominicana se Reconstruye 51,458 homes have been addressed, in addition to 15,000 more from the social cabinet.
“With the Mi Vivienda program we have delivered a total of 7,212 homes and through Familia Feliz an additional 2,912,” Abinader explained.

In his 57-page speech, the president highlighted the land titling program, which to date has delivered more than 84,000 property titles, benefiting more than 336,000 people.
"And I announce that in 2024 our forecast is to deliver 50,000 more titles.".
He emphasized that “all these rights, which positively affect people's lives, would not be possible without two of the most important pillars in a democracy: security and freedom.”.
