"Invest in Yourself 2026", a space that will bring together job opportunities in sectors such as banking, manufacturing, logistics, energy, insurance and mass consumption
SANTO DOMINGO– The search for talent will once again focus on university classrooms. Some 30 national and international companies will participate this Friday in the fifth edition of the "Invest in Yourself 2026", an initiative that seeks to connect job openings with students, graduates, and people interested in entering the workforce.
According to the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), the event will take place tomorrow, Friday, July 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., on the esplanade of the Monsignor Agripino Núñez Collado building on the Santo Domingo campus.
The university indicated that it expects more than 3,000 people to attend , consolidating this event as one of the main spaces for connection between the business sector and those seeking professional growth opportunities.
Companies from various sectors will offer opportunities
According to information published by PUCMM, the fair will bring together companies from strategic sectors of the economy, including financial services, insurance, manufacturing, mass consumption, energy, logistics, consulting and human talent management.
Among the confirmed companies are Banco Popular, Scotiabank, AFP Crecer, Humano Seguros, La Colonial de Seguros, Colgate-Palmolive, TotalEnergies, DP World Dominicana, Pollos Victorina, Planeta Azul, Smurfit Westrock, Hayco, Reid & Compañía, Diesco, ACERH, Intrarhecursos and the Las Américas Free Zone Park, among other organizations.
The institution highlighted that this meeting will allow attendees to establish direct contact with recruiters, learn about current labor market needs, and explore employment opportunities in various professional areas.
A bridge between university and the job market
PUCMM explained that the fair is organized by the Committee of Students of Industrial and Systems Engineering (CEIIS) as part of the efforts to bring academic training closer to the needs of the productive sector.
The event is aimed not only at university students and graduates, but also at the general public interested in accessing new job opportunities or expanding their professional network.
A fair with an inclusive focus
As part of the facilities planned for this edition, the university reported that the fair will have sign language interpreters and accessible mobility conditions, with the purpose of facilitating the participation of people with disabilities and promoting a more inclusive recruitment process.
According to the university, these measures aim to ensure that a greater number of people can access, on equal terms, the job opportunities offered by participating companies during the event.
