The request from the Land Registry to users who visit its offices

During the past year, the Property Registry received 412,925 applications through its various channels (in person and digital), representing a 99.22% resolution rate for the applications received and an increase of 19.1% compared to 2019. 

SANTO DOMINGO.-The Real Estate Registry requests that users who visit its facilities to obtain the services offered by the entity to the public must not bring companions and must wear a mask.

In a notice posted on its website, the institution in charge of supervising, coordinating and regulating the registration of titles in the country, states that the measure was adopted to safeguard the health of those who visit the entity and its collaborators.

“We ask that when visiting our offices you do so without companions and use a mask at all times,” says the message posted at the entrance of their building.

He adds that it is the company's responsibility to take care of the health and well-being of the citizens and the staff who work there.

During the past year, the Property Registry received 412,925 applications through its various channels (in person and digital), representing a 99.22% resolution rate for the applications received and an increase of 19.1% compared to 2019. 

Regarding the provision of services to the user, 538,134 people were served in person at the 24 offices nationwide, and 109,569 through the telephone lines of the call center.  

In addition, a new virtual office was made available to users for Title Registration procedures, the enabling of electronic payment for registration procedures through the virtual office and the payment of legal status certifications through the RIMóvil application, according to the report released during the celebration of Judicial Power Day.

Also, during 2021 the entity paid attention to the issuance of new requirements guidelines that seek standardization, simplification of processes and expansion of the national remote deposit for Cadastral Survey procedures. 

Current situation of the pandemic

The Ministry of Public Health reported yesterday, Sunday, January 23, 2022, two deaths from coronavirus and 2,813 new cases, according to epidemiological bulletin #675.

The report showed a reduction in the demand for PCR and antigen tests, with only 18,319 processed on Saturday, yielding 2,813 positive results, for a daily positivity rate of 27.52%. The previous day, 29,354 samples were processed.

To date in the Dominican Republic, the total number of registered cases is 539,580 and deaths 4,287. Currently, according to their data, there are 820 people hospitalized in regular COVID wards, representing 36% occupancy; in Intensive Care Units, 220 patients are reported to be in critical condition, representing 38%, and 158 are connected to ventilators, representing 34%.
