SANTO DOMINGO.-The Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET) reported yesterday, Friday, that section 1 of Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Cable Car, from the Gualey station to Sabana Perdida, is temporarily out of service due to a technical failure in the system.
"The institution's staff is working diligently to restore service on the affected section. Currently, the system is only operating on section 2, from Sabana Perdida station to Charles de Gaulle.".

OPRET will dismiss subway employees who were absent from their jobs during the strike they held last week.
"OPRET requests all employees who were absent from their duties without just cause to go to the human resources department to pick up their termination letter and receive their employment benefits, according to their category, and in accordance with the law," the institution stated in a press release.
