MADRID.- Within the framework ofthe International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2025, Grupo Oasis, a leader in the hotel industry, announced yesterday the construction of a 500-room beachfront hotel within the Maralda project, located in Miches, Dominican Republic.
The building will be operated by the American hotel chain, marking a milestone in international collaboration to boost tourism development in this new tourist hub.
Pedro Pueyo Echevarría, CEO of Grupo Oasis, stated during the announcement that this is the brand's first investment in the Dominican Republic. "We chose Miches because of the spectacular natural beauty of the Maralda estate. This region is an emerging gem in the Caribbean, with immeasurable potential. In collaboration with a renowned American tour operator, we want to position this destination as a benchmark for luxury, sustainability, and unique experiences for travelers from around the world," he explained.
The hotel, they specified, will be developed under strict international high-quality standards, with a design that will harmoniously integrate with the natural environment of Miches, known for its biodiversity and pristine landscapes. It will feature top-tier amenities, with the goal of becoming a catalyst for tourism and economic growth in the region, generating numerous direct and indirect jobs.
