El Inmobiliario shares with you the 12 tallest towers in the city, consulted through the INTERNET, whose sources we cite at the end of this work.
1-Anacaona 27: Named after a leader of the Taíno society who was distinguished by her beauty, intelligence, and talent for poetry. This luxury condominium complex consists of 43 structural levels and a height of 180 meters with the antenna and 171 meters without; its construction began in 2011 and was completed in 2017. It was built by the Rodríguez Sandoval company and is located on Anacaona Avenue in the National District.
2– Caney: A Taíno name for the cacique, or chief, of the Taíno people, where the areítos (ceremonial dances) were performed. It is a 40-story residential building, inaugurated in 2009, standing 150 meters tall. Designed by Rodríguez Sandoval, it is located on Anacaona Avenue. It features a spacious lobby, rooftop terrace, spa, aerobics studio, half-court basketball court, and a helipad exclusively for residents.
3- Silver Sun Gallery: Located in the exclusive Naco neighborhood, at the corner of Gustavo Mejía Ricart and Tiradentes, it is among the city's most modern towers, featuring a commercial area and a section housing the 200-room Embassy Suites by Hilton executive hotel. Construction began in 2010 and was completed in 2014. It has 31 levels and a height of 137 meters.
4- Mar Azul: Described on its website as the most innovative residential project in Anacaona, Los Cacicazgos sector, it features three independent towers of 30 and 35 stories, all with ocean views. It was built by the Spanish-owned Prodesa group. All three towers were inaugurated in 2014. The tallest reaches 135 meters.
5– Malecón Center: This is a complex of four towers, with a design inspired by the Caribbean Sea and the area where it is located, George Washington Avenue, popularly known as the Malecón. It was built by the Rodríguez Sandoval company and includes commercial areas, three residential towers (two with 31 stories and one with 32), and the Hilton Santo Domingo Hotel, located here with 22 floors and 288 rooms.
Tower 3, standing at 125.7 meters tall, is the tallest tower and features eleven parking levels and 152 apartments. The building complex was inaugurated in 2003.
6/7- Malecón Center I and II: With a height of 122.4 meters and 31 levels.
8- Acropolis: A word of Greek origin, “akropolis” means “fortified place in the highest part of the city” and is derived from “akros” (height) and “polis” (city). It is located on Winston Churchill Avenue, in the heart of the city center. It has 17 floors of corporate offices, each with 1,582 square meters, with a mixed-use business concept. Its portfolio includes establishments offering food products, accessories, beauty products, and more. It has 45,000 square meters of land and 1,300 parking spaces, and is 115 meters tall. It opened its doors in 2002.
9/10 –Mar Azul II and III: With a height of 110 meters and 30 levels.
11– Torre Azul: It has a height of 109 meters and 27 floors, it is a residential building, located on Anacaona Avenue, inaugurated in 2008.
12- Blue Mall: Among its distinctive features is that it houses prestigious international brands, with a commercial concept and a luxury hotel. It has 21 floors and is 105 meters tall. Located in the exclusive Piantini district, on Winston Churchill Avenue; it opened in 2014 and belongs to the Velutini Group, a Venezuelan-owned company.
