SANTO DOMINGO- Corvi, one of the country's leading producers and distributors of PVC products, announced that it received ISO 14001:2015 certification, which recognizes its high-quality, world-class environmental management system and demonstrates the company's commitment to environmental protection.
The certification developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) demonstrates the company's ability to manage its environmental impact and establish a high-quality environmental management system, in line with global standards.
The accreditation was issued and audited by Qsi Global Ventures, which validated that Corvi promotes sustainable processes in its corporate strategy and has a systematization of the environmental impact generated in its industry.
"The ISO 14001 standard provides companies with a holistic framework for managing and addressing environmental issues, enabling them to improve their performance through the optimal use of resources. And in doing so, it paves the way for more efficient processes across the board, thereby reducing operating costs.".
ISO 14001 requires effective demonstration that a systematic approach to pollution prevention and environmental risk management has been adopted. Once a policy framework and processes to facilitate organizational commitment have been established, the standard requires organizations to audit, review, and improve their systems to confirm their commitment to continual improvement.
Corvi is made up of Corvi PVC, SAS and Corvi Acero, SAS, leaders in the construction sector at the national level and in the Caribbean, characterized by the production and marketing of PVC and steel products, with quality raw materials, certified internationally.
