SANTO DOMINGO.- “Vision that Builds Strategic Leadership” was the name of the congress organized by the Association of Builders of Santo Domingo East (Acosde), held yesterday, Thursday, September 18, to highlight and promote the real estate development that is taking place in the most populated area of Greater Santo Domingo.
A large group of construction entrepreneurs, real estate agents, and other stakeholders in the industry filled the seats of the CrownPlaza, in a meeting that began after ten in the morning.
“Thank you for joining us at this first Acosde 2025 business congress. This is an event that marks a turning point, not only for our organization, but for the future of business development in Santo Domingo Este,” said Riubell Montes de Oca, president of the entity.
He explained that the association was founded not only to bring together companies in the construction sector, but because they knew they could and should do more. “We wanted to build a community, a network of conscious leaders, businesspeople who not only create jobs, but also generate change through their actions. Businesses that not only seek growth, but real impact in their communities, companies that not only compete but also collaborate,” the businessman commented.

He opined that true success is no longer measured solely in profits, but in social impact, constant innovation, environmental sustainability, and the ability to look beyond one's own borders.
He highlighted the association's achievements in less than two years since its creation, noting that it is only the beginning and projecting a promising future for its members and for the impact on the area to which they belong.
The event was blessed by Deacon Argenis Pérez of Miraflores, and a group of prominent professionals participated in the morning's proceedings. Among them were Senator Antonio Taveras of Santo Domingo province; economist Juan Ariel Jiménez, who presented virtually; Agri Valverde, Vice President of the National Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Executives, and Professionals (ANMEPRO); architect Yermys Peña; Milagros De Camps, former Vice Minister of Climate Change at the Ministry of the Environment; and Perla Rosario, Director of Statistics.
