In Baní, the Government delivered 120 low-cost apartments yesterday, Saturday, July 8, 31 of which belong to the Happy Family National Housing Plan, this being the ninth delivery of projects.
The event was led by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, accompanied by the Minister of the Presidency, Joel Santos Echavarría.
The homes are located in the Los Maestros Residential complex, in Boca Canasta, Baní; of the families benefiting, 54 have as heads of household teachers of basic, secondary and university education.
Peña said that with the Happy Family National Housing Plan, one of the main objectives of the current administration is being realized, which is to improve the quality of life of Dominicans, and that it is a joy to be able to change the lives of teachers, professionals who contribute so much to the development of society.
"We are very committed to continuing to work 24/7, our President sometimes works 20 hours a day, so that projects of this nature are carried out more and more often and with this quality," the vice president stated.
Joel Santos Echavarría explained that the bonuses beneficiaries of the Happy Family National Housing Plan will receive include the Initial Bonus, the ITBIS Bonus, and the 7-Year Interest Rate Bonus. Additionally, the Women's Bonus, which this time benefits ten women from Baní who are heads of household, will also be awarded.
The project developer, Manuel Santos, indicated that for them, as a company, it is a great joy that their project is part of the Happy Family National Housing Plan, since thousands of families benefit by being able to achieve the dream of acquiring a decent and quality home.
"This project represents a total investment of 500 million pesos and consists of 20 buildings with eight apartments each, for a total of 160 units, a large part of which were allocated to the Happy Family Housing Plan," explained De los Santos.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Ministers of Education and Women, Ángel Hernández and Mayra Jiménez, as well as the Vice Minister of Investment Projects of the Ministry of the Presidency, Camel Curi, responsible for the Happy Family Plan.
Also present were Ariel Polanco, Director of Real Estate Projects at Banreservas, and Paula González, Senior Director of Commercial Alliances for the bank.
Also present were Congressman Julio Fulcar and Mayor Santo Ramírez.
